Urban Design for Amaravati capital precinct competition. In 2016 Vastu Shilpa participated in a two month long competition for the urban design and architecture of the capitol precinct of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The proposal was embedded in the local context, and also aimed to address issues of Indian cities in general. The proposal also includes well researched and programmatic ideas on city development, to make a statement towards various concerns of Indian cities. The booklet presents problem statements, along with masterplanning themes, statistics and visualizations for Amaravati.
